LockNotes (“LockNotes”, “we”, “us”) is an iOS application that puts your notes, todos, and doodles on your iPhone lock screen and lets you share them live with friends. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. LockNotes is operated by Ratera Yazılım ve Bilişim A.Ş. For anything in this policy, contact us at raterateam@gmail.com.
LockNotes does not require you to create an account. When you use the sharing feature, the app signs in anonymously behind the scenes: our provider (Firebase) assigns a random identifier that is not linked to your name, email, or any other real-world identity.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, or payment-card details. Apple processes all payments; we only receive whether a purchase is active.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
LockNotes displays note content on your lock screen using Apple's Live Activities and widgets. Two things are worth knowing:
Notes you keep to yourself are rendered on-device and are not sent through our servers.
Sharing is opt-in, per note. When you share a note, LockNotes creates a private workspace in our cloud database and syncs that note's content into it: text, todos, boards and lists, doodles, styling, and any attached photos.
Camera. LockNotes uses the camera for exactly one thing: scanning a friend's QR code to join a shared note. No photos or videos are captured or stored during scanning, and nothing from the camera leaves your device.
Photo library. If you attach a photo to a note, that photo is copied into the app's storage on your device. iOS's photo picker lets you expose only the photos you select — we never see the rest of your library.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or LockNotes.
On-device data (notes, todos, doodles, photos, settings) is kept until you delete it or delete the app. Cloud data for a shared note is kept while the share exists and is deleted when the creator tears the share down; a full in-app reset also removes the workspaces you created. Copies that synced to your friends' devices while sharing was active remain on their devices. Diagnostic and analytics data held by Firebase is retained per Google's default retention settings. Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
LockNotes is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Shared-note data is protected by server-side security rules that restrict every read and write to the members of that share, and data is encrypted in transit. We rely on Apple's on-device security and our providers' safeguards to protect your data; no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Our providers (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Superwall) may process data in the United States and other countries; where required, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
